Big things are happening for our MPS student athletes!

Numerous athletic facilities received major upgrades, made possible through the Elementary and Secondary Emergency Relief fund (ESSER III). This fund, created as part of the federal response to the pandemic, allows students to ...rediscover their passion and excitement in the educational experience, while also granting them new and upgraded spaces to learn, socialize, and grow.

Tajarie Jefferson-Martin, a student-athlete from South Division High School, expressed his thoughts on the recent upgrades at various facilities across the city. He emphasized his eagerness to see more people in attendance at athletic events, and discussed how student-athletes are excited to bring a new sense of competition and energy into the spaces.
