Golda Meir's Taylor & Rufus King's Wilson Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Nov. 25)
Amirah Taylor (Golda Meir School) and Naomi Wilson (Rufus King High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Nov. 17-23.
Golda Meir fell 65-64 in overtime in their season opener at Madison East High School despite Taylor’s team-leading 29 points. Taylor is a two-time first team all-conference player in the MCC Gold Division.
The Owls will look to move into the win column on Tuesday, Nov. 26 with their home opener against Wauwatosa West. Click here to purchase digital tickets for the contest.
Wilson, the reigning Freshman of the Year in the MCC Gold Division, stuffed the stat sheet in her sophomore debut, tallying 23 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in Rufus King’s win at South Milwaukee. Two more non-conference road games (Nov. 26 at Burlington, Dec. 3 at Manitowoc Lincoln) bookend the upcoming holiday weekend for the Generals.
