Juneau's Johnson & Golda Meir's Blackmon Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Dec. 16)
Dooney Johnson (MacDowell School, also known as Juneau) and Aniya Blackmon (Golda Meir School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 8-14.
Johnson, a sophomore with 10 Division I offers, totaled 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists in the Pioneers’ 80-77 win over Hamilton last week. In three games against MCC opponents this season, Johnson is averaging 28.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
Cincinnati, Marquette, Missouri, Nebraska, SMU, and Wisconsin are among Johnson’s current offers.

Blackmon led the charge for the Owls in their 1-1 week, posting 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in a loss to Milwaukee Lutheran and 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists in a win over Riverside. For the season, Blackmon is now averaging 22.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in Golda Meir’s five contests.
A busy week awaits for Golda Meir, including a trip to Reagan (Monday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.), home for MSL (Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m.), and another road game at Brown Deer (Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.).
