MSL's Amonya Pampuch-Buck surpasses 1,000 points scored for career
Last month, in a 63-41 home win against Juneau, MSL standout senior Amonya Pampuch-Buck scored her 1,000th career point for the Hawks. Pampuch-Buck finished with a season-high 34 points in the win over the Pioneers, and is currently averaging 18.4 points per game.
Pampuch-Buck has been a fulcrum for the MSL program in each of the past four seasons. She split the MCC Gold Division Freshman of the Year award with Rufus King’s Jade Warren in 2021-22, and then was named to the all-conference first team in both her sophomore and junior campaigns. Pampuch-Buck was also named the MCC Gold Division Most Improved Player of the Year as a sophomore.
En route to MSL’s MCC Gold Division conference title in 2023-24, she finished second on the team in scoring (18.4 points per game).
Pampuch-Buck is one of three MSL student-athletes to hit the 1,000-point milestone this season. Boys basketball players Manning Shareef and Amaris Hunt crossed 1,000 points earlier this month.
