
Multiple MCC Girls Basketball Players Top 1,000 Career Points
Two more Milwaukee City Conference girls basketball players surpassed 1,000 career points this season.
Reagan senior Deriya Wilson hit 1,000 points in the final game of her career, tallying 14 points in the Huskies’ loss to Oak Creek in the WIAA postseason. For the season, Wilson averaged a team-high 16.8 points per game.
Golda Meir junior Amirah Taylor joined her teammate Aniya Blackmon in the Owls’ 1K club when she dropped 28 points in a win over Washington in January. Taylor averaged 18.6 points per game as Golda Meir swept the regular season and conference tournament titles in the MCC Gold Division.
