Obama's Brantley & Audubon's Rueda Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Sept. 9)
Johnathan Brantley (Obama School of Career & Technical Education) and Aldo Rueda (Audubon High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 1-7.
Brantley, a senior at Obama, propelled the Cougars to an easy win over South Division on Thursday, Sept. 5 at Jimmy Banks Memorial Stadium. Brantley completed 7 of 10 passes for 91 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to teammate Demius Johnson. He also carried the Cougars rushing attack, adding another 58 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Rueda, a sophomore who was named to the MCC’s boys soccer all-conference honorable mention team as a freshman, led the Cardinals to a 1-1 week, including an assist in Audubon’s 2-1 win over Bay View, and a goal in a road loss at Mayville.
