Rufus King's Patzke & Washington's Donald Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Feb. 10)

Mosley Patzke (Rufus King High School) and Geaira Donald (Washington High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Feb. 2-8.

Patzke led the Rufus King Generals to a third consecutive MCC boys swim title on Friday, Feb. 7. Patzke captured first place honors in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke. He also swam the opening leg in the 200-yard medley relay and the anchor leg in the 400-yard freestyle relay, both Rufus King wins. In the 200-yard medley relay, Patzke teamed up with Spencer Laga, Jackson Buckley and Zef van Iersel to set a new MCC record in the event, shattering the previous record (set in 1984) by more than one second.

At the MCC wrestling championships on Friday, Feb. 7, Donald finished first in her weight class, and was named the tournament’s most valuable wrestler for the 100-132 lb. weight classes.

Both Patzke and Donald will compete in the WIAA postseason later this month.
