Rufus King’s Zeise & Hamilton’s Lockwood Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Sept. 3)
Logan Zeise, a freshman for the Generals, was a top finisher for the MCC at the 25-team Hoehnke-Hill Milwaukee River Invite on Thursday, Aug. 29. He surpassed King’s all-time freshman record by 30 seconds with his 5K time of 16:55, securing him a 10th place finish in the race against 317 competitors.
Zeise and the Generals are slated to compete on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Milwaukee King High School (5 p.m.) in another conference meet.
Jakobe Lockwood, a junior at Hamilton High School, is off to an explosive start this season, as he went 7-7 with 172 yards, one passing touchdown, and an additional 87 rushing yards in the Wildcats’ 44-0 win over Washington.
Hamilton is set to continue their season on Thursday, Sept. 5 at Pulaski Stadium (6 p.m.) against Milwaukee Pulaski. Visit the MCC GoFan ticketing website to purchase tickets today.
